"Apolonia" by dr. Tomasz Welna is type designed especially for polish language, but it also improves the appearance and legibility of the texts in other languages. It's a result of author's doctoral dissertation in the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.

The new and better Helvetica - Sonoran! ;)

















Nearly thirty years in the making, the highly anticipated Sonoran is finally here.
Typeface designers Robin Nicholas and Patricia Saunders first began work on Sonoran in the early 1980s, drawing inspiration from the classic Swiss typeface Helvetica. 
“Helvetica is a great font, people really love it. But it does have its flaws,” says Nicholas. 
“With Sonoran, our main goal was to fix Helvetica’s mistakes.”

Why Pro Athletes Sleep 12 Hours A Day






































If you thought your lazy, sullen teenager slept a lot, they've got nothing on your typical pro athlete, who routinely gets between 10-12 hours a night. Compare that to the average of 6.44 hours, and you've got to wonder why guys like Steve Nash or Roger Federer aren't endorsing a high-performance line of blankies instead of shoes.
